Christmas Delivery

Bikes

Our last day for dispatch is Thursday the 22nd of December. We use a next day/express courier for bikes, such as DPD or TNT/Fedex. All couriers are experiencing some delays at the moment so nothing is guaranteed, but these services are intended as a next day service and have been largely delivering as such.

If a bike is ordered before 12pm, we will do our very best to dispatch it on the same day. Again, this is not a guarantee, but we will do our best! If we can't dispatch on the same day, we will dispatch the next working day. Please bear in mind that we are closed on Wednesdays, so no orders are processed or dispatched on those days.

We fully assemble your bike before delivery as though you were going to ride it away from the shop. To get it back into a box for the courier, there is some minor disassembly such as removing pedals and handlebars.

Smaller Items

For pre-Christmas we now strongly recommend you upgrade from our standard post (Royal Mail 48) to either Royal Mail 24 or DPD. Royal Mail have indicated that the last day for Royal Mail 24 should be the 16th, but even that is not guaranteed. To give the best chance of pre-Christmas delivery, we recommend selecting the DPD option.

If your item is in stock and ordered before 12pm, we will do our best to despatch your order the day you place it. Please bear in mind that we are closed on Wednesdays, so no orders are processed or dispatched on those days.

Delivery Information

UK Delivery

If your item is in stock and ordered before 12pm, we will do our best to despatch your order the day you place it. In busy times we tell you how long it will take us to process it.

The above does not apply to bikes, which we have to assemble and inspect before repacking for dispatch. Typically we try to have bike orders dispatched within 3-5 days, but in busier times it may take longer. In those cases we'll let you know of longer than expected delivery times.

Please bear in mind that we are closed on Wednesdays, so no items will be dispatched then.

Free Postage over £40 on small items

For small items we use Royal Mail's 48 service which has a delivery time of typically 2-3 days from dispatch; though you do have the option to upgrade to 24 which is generally next-day from dispatch if you require your order sooner. Please note in some cases the item will need to be signed for, so please provide an address where someone will be in.

Orders of over £40 will qualify for free standard postage with Royal Mail 48. This excludes certain bulky or awkward items (for example shoes and helmets) which will be calculated automatically at the basket screen. Unless stated otherwise, bikes also do not qualify for free postage. Please see below for details on that.

Bike Shipping

When we send out a larger parcel such as a bike or trailer we use a tracked courier such as TNT's next-day service.

For these reasons please supply us with a delivery address where there will be someone in to sign for your parcel. If there is nobody in when the couriers call, they will leave a card. You can then phone them to arrange delivery for another day or collect your goods from your local depot (a photo ID with proof of address will be required).

Outside the UK

Since Brexit it is no longer feasible for our website to have permanent shipping prices for international delivery. Instead, if there is an item you are interested in, please Contact Us with a full delivery address and we will quote for delivery.

All the prices on our website and catalogue are in pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT, but VAT will be removed for international orders. Please bear in mind you will likely have to pay your country's taxes and import duties for any items.

We know that many lead busy lifestyles and can't make it to the shop to browse during opening hours, so we've made it easy for you to browse online in the comfort of your own home. You can use the click and collect option to place an order at any time, any day, before collecting from the store at a time that suits you.

How do you do it? It's simple. Add the items you want to your cart, and then select the **collect in store** option below once you're on the basket screen:

Go through the checkout and pay for your items via our secure server. Once the order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. As soon as we're able we'll be in touch by phone or email to confirm with you when your items are available to collect. This could be practically instant, or it could take a few hours/days depending on the item.

Once you're ready to collect your items, please bring your confirmation email with you (stored on a smartphone or printed), along with proof of ID (passport or driving license) and the card used to purchase.

The new Shimano 105 (5700) group is now already available in Koga Signature, the custom order program by Koga...

The new SHIMANO 105 features many of the technological improvements of the new DURA-ACE and ULTEGRA components, at a very attractive price thanks to the use of more economical materials and solutions. No titanium sprockets, carbon brake levers or HOLLOWGLIDE outer chain ring for example.

Let's face it, SHIMANO 105 does not have the state-of-the-art image of DURA-ACE, but if you are interested in the best price/performance ratio this might be the perfect component group for you. For the average sporty rider the differences will be hard to notice. What you do get is a very reliable, durable and excellent performing component group with an attractive design – in a silver version – at an affordable price.

Dual Control Levers

SHIMANO 105 Dual Control Levers ST-5700 (for Compact cranksets) and ST-5703 (for Triple cranksets) feature cable routing underneath the handlebar tape, just like the new DURA-ACE and ULTEGRA. They have been developed with a reach adjustment mechanism that will accommodate smaller hands and a wide assortment of bar bends. The brake lever pivot is located closer to the rider for an improved controllability, especially when riding with the hands on top of the hoods.

Cranksets (Compact & Triple)

The HOLLOWTECH II crankset combines an attractive aerodynamic design with superb rigidity. Available in two versions: Compact (FC-5750: 50-34T) and Triple (FC-5703: 50-39-30T).

Derailleurs

Rear derailleur RD-5700 will be available in two versions: SS (with a short cage) and GS (with a medium cage). The short cage version has a wide gear ratio with a maximum front difference of 16T and a total capacity of 33T. This means that it is compatible with SHIMANO compact cranksets (50-34T) and cassette sprockets of maximum 28T. The GS version is needed when using a Triple crankset.

Shimano offers also two front derailleur options: FD-5700 for Compact cranksets and FD-5703 for Triple cranksets. They feature a wide inner link for extra rigidity and an improved chain guide design. The new front derailleurs provide a feather light down shift and smoother shifting stroke.

Brakes

The Dual-Pivot caliper brakes feature new compound brake shoes that offer a much improved brake performance, especially in wet conditions. The calipers have been developed with an enhanced brake arch proportion for an increased linear response. The brakes feature a spring tension adjuster and adjustable toe-in brake shoes.

Cassettes/Chain/Hubs/Pedals

The new SHIMANO 105 HYPERGLIDE 10-speed cassette will be available in 12-25T. The new chain has a directional design (one way mounting) with special shaped links to further improve shifting performance. The group also includes hubs and SPD-SL pedals in a matching color.

New SHIMANO 105 offers the ultimate combination of performance, durability, design and price for the no nonsense sporty road racer who wants to improve his performance and have fun at the same time.
